Tuesday, November 11, Mary Fons is presenting “A Thirty-Something Quilter Tells All”
Mary Fons is a writer/performer. She is creator of Quilty, the friendly place for beginner quilters (F+W Media). Mary hosts Quilty online (HeyQuilty.com) and is editor of Quilty magazine, available bi-monthly on newsstands everywhere. Mary co-hosts PBS’s “Love of Quilting” with her mom, Marianne Fons. Mary’s program is, “A Thirty-Something Quilter Tells All.” What’s the state of Quilting today? What is a modern quilt? What do you do when your 24 year old niece laughs when you suggest you make a quilt together? (Hint: wait until she is 34.) In this humorous, often poignant address, Mary Fons shares her view of the quilt world as we know it – an offers ideas about the future.
