On March 1, 2017, the State of Nebraska will celebrate its Sesquicentennial or 150th year of statehood. Planning is underway to commemorate this historic occasion with a yearlong celebration that will engage, educate and inspire the state’s citizenry while leaving a legacy for future generations.

As part of the celebration, the Nebraska State Quilt Guild is sponsoring a Quilt Competition. The theme is “Inspired by Nebraska’s Diversity.” The contest is open to anyone with a connection to Nebraska. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three winners with the first place finisher receiving $1,000 purchase award from the International Quilt Study Center & Museum. The top three quilts, as well as those receiving honorable mentions, will tour the state during the Sesquicentennial in 2017. *See Entry Form for details.
